Speaking of EQD and lust..... It's been a while since i posted any updated pedal board pics so here ya go....

First Up: The Sheol Ambience / Synth Board
Image

Second up: The Ancient Astronaught Guitar Board

I think i'm finally done collecting pedals, i can't think of anything more i could want or use other than maybe an EQD white light for the Sheol board. The only thing i'm still waiting to arrive is a railhead fav switch for the el cap, then i gotta find a decent TRS cable that will fit and look better than the supplied black one, but :idk: we'll see how it fits.

It sound amazing, its the first pedal that i felt really complemented the Ghost Disaster. The pair together is as eerie as the weird guy on the corner with the asymmetrical face who always stares at you for no reason as you pass. The phaser > trem combo with the CV inputs is insane, can easily get some analog synth sounds outs my guitar and couple it with the delay and some 2 footed modulation and its a psychedelic trip not seen since the late 60's. The hoof isnt as high gain as i'm used to but i needed something to stray me away from my usual high gain habits and it fits the bill perfectly, some great vintage fuzz tones to be had. I'm currently using it as a low gain fuzzy booster and its perfect. All i need now is a cheapo p90 equipped guitfiddle and i'll be set.

I like the simplicity Ancient. It's like the polar opposite of what I'm working with currently but looks fuckin' tasty! One day maybe....

Thank you my friend! I just found it easier to focus on using effects to their fullest instead of just having a bunch of different pedals. It's also easier on the gigging back. Everytime i look at the AA board i feel like its sooooo TGP though with the buffer and strymon and the lava cable.... but then i play it and it's totally worth it best tone i've ever had hands down so happy with it. It's straight forward but has so many tones at hand. Once the fav switch is in i will have 3 different dirt tones and 2 delays on that tiny lil board :!!!: and the cv inputs on the HP totally eliminated my need for other modulation i can easily find crazy different tones just by moving the pedals ever so slightly. I've taken on the saying i used with drums, "Sometimes less is more, it forces you to focus on what and how your playing instead of what sound can i make"

CV inputs?? Holy hell, just keeps getting better! Coincidentally I'm building my girlfriend a RAT into a Tremolo, I'm just so intrigued by the concept of the chopped fuzz, especially with delay after like you said!

Yup 2 of em, they control the rate controls for the grand orbiter and the hummingbird. That combo (fuzz + trem > delay) is actually really cool, especially if you play alot of droney kind of stuff, its like sonic whip-its. ;)

Yeah, I fully agree with literally everything you posted there. If I played out in multiple bands like you, always lugging big ass Emperor cabs on top of everything else, I'd have the smallest board possible. You can cover a shitload of ground with what you got going there, super ideal.

I have a Strymon too, it rulez! Oh, and Lava cables. They sound better than my shitty old cables but they should at that friggin' price! The REAL reason I got 'em was to make custom runs and cram more shit onto my board without a giant fucking mess. I can't solder so it was a good option. It's quiet plus those plugs are tiny and super easy to work with/alter. I've changed things up a lot so that worked out well.

As for the dreaded "TGP Stigma": A truly ridiculous TGP board is ALWAYS a hilariously bad thing to see. A Strymon and/or Lava cables + buffer don't qualify imo. Anyway, only a true moron/pedal-scene-queen would worry about stupid shit like that and you're too busy rocking in awesome bands to concern yourself with those types.

You are very right my friend. I have a feeling my boards would be very different if i felt it necessary to be a playa in the pedal scene. I just want to rock, i also happen to be kind of eccentric when it comes to gear  Music gear is a musicians tool, just like a wrench and sockets are to a mechanic. I grew up working on cars and learned the value of good tools, but also buying only what you need not what you think you need. The thing about the car scene that bugged the hell out of me and eventually made me completely give it up is that its not about You the driver, it's all about the car, whose faster because they have more money in their car. Which is redundant because their is always some one faster or with nicer stuff. The nice thing about playing music is that is 99% you and 1% your gear, people don't care how big your board is or how expensive your guitar is, is about what you play, if you can't play you can't play. I go and play a show and put everything i got into it and thats what people remember, maybe 1 out of 20 non musician fans will comment on the gear, but its also nice to talk shop when the chance arrises.

my theory of pedals vs. cabs is:
1. trust the sound guy to make you loud (usually works, at least in cleveland)
2. two suitcases are more bearable than one bigass cab
3. its cooler when you sound massive/crazy with a li'l combo than with anything more

and probably some more stuff to do with volume or whatever
,':{I> ... your move, Trebek.

my music for you to put in your earholes :joy:
