Vox Custom AC30C2X.
Anyone have one or tried one? Anything else I should check out in a similar price range?
Any opinions? (amp question)

I have a Ac30cc2 and even though they are different beasts if the CC2 is any indication then I would stay far away from it.

Aren't the C2s supposed to be the decent ones?
Maybe check out a Laney VC30. I think it's supposed to be like an AC30 clone. I rikey it, and they're pretty cheap used.

The C2's are pretty darn good AC30's, I played a couple before I bought my handwired. To me, the current series productions (especially the handwireds) are the best sounding ones since the original JMI era. Much better than the CC series.

Really? I thought the Korg era TB/TBX reissues were held in pretty high regard.

The older TB/TBX RIs are really good, not knocking those at all. Simply stating the new series are the best sounding (to my ears) since those really early models. I think Korg is going in a good direction sonically.
