Oh look, a jaguar with a tele switch and inflated price tag. Oh yeah, and the rhythm circuit is all fucked up into something else.
On the up side though, the trem got changed up so, I'll probably buy one of those when they get parted out on ebay.

Now you can buy these plates and put one in a jag that isn't two-thousand dollars.

Saw Johnny Marr playing with The Cribs a couple of years ago (at a festival, the cribs suck) and I loooved his guitar. I think the normal jag switching system is fine though. :idk:

Pickups in series/parallel is always a welcome option on a guitar for me... or is that available on regular jags too with the normal switches? I think the features are cool, but obviously the price is high enough that wouldn't even bother playing it knowing I wouldn't be able to buy it.

The bareknuckle pickups are the only appealing change I see. That way maybe it won't sound so fucking thin and puny like the AVRI Jags. :p

Custom BKP jag pups eh? Wonder if I can pick those up separately
MSRP is about the same as the AVRI, street price will probably be close to what the '62 goes for.

Tele switch and a series mode is a nice move (pos4 on my baja sounds awesome!).
As much as I love the options jag switching gives, having them right below the strings makes it an accident waiting to happen.

It will be a cool alternative for people already looking into the AVRI :idk:

I have mine set up so switch down=on and the strangle switch not wired to do anything (planning on fixing that eventually, so the worst I can do is turn more pickups on, unless I'm playing so crazily I'm probably just making loads of noise and it doesn't matter anyway. Dunno if that's how they are normally.

I didn't notice the BK pickups before, seems cool maybe since according to the BK site they don't do any jag pickups normally. They'd probably still do them custom and a used AVRI plus those pickups and doing the rewiring would be cheaper. Possibly even a new AVRI depending on how much this ends up selling for.

Daaaang he actually makes it sound really good. He is right about the rhythm circuit being a bit annoying, I do sometimes freak out and check most of my cables when I get no sound and then duhhh volume off on the rhythm circuit.

Series pups always sound good, this genuinely looks like a really nice instrument. Surprised by the lack of a mastery bridge though.

I'm not a smiths/marr fan, but I have used a avri for 10 years.

It looks like he's fixed most of the annoying problems. Now I'm totally gasing for one of these. All I'd do is stick a tortoise shell pickguard on it.
