4 channel mixer

Post by rot gut »

Looking to get a 4channel mixer to do a bunch of noise. Any recommendations on a mixer?

If it's just for noise purposes, nothing wrong with getting a cheapo Alesis or Yamaha.

Fostex MN series are small, cheap, and easy and have a built-in compressor that does a ballsy "nuke" sound.

The most common thing I see on noise boards is this.

the dod is great. its passive and you can use it as 4 inputs/ 1 output, or 1 input/ 4 outputs. one sound source going into 4 pedal chains and what not! :thumb:

that's....... pretty sexy actually. is it decently loud? the one passive mixer i have was pretty durn quiet.

but that would be HAWT if it doesn't lower the volume a butt-load.

i use it with a powered 15" JBL speaker, and its decently loud. depending on the volume set on the speaker, i keep the dials on the dod mixer at about half.

super hot signals going into it might over take some of the other signals though. but overall, it works really really well for just about everything.
