So what's up with these guys? Seem to be picking up steam. And I like the graphics, though they remind me of Greenhouse Effects (minus the awesome top mounted jacks).

But I'm hearing possible Rat clone (w/clipping switch), and Klon clone?

But they have pretty boxes, nice demos and good usage of adjectives. Recipe for success.

I don't understand the "new company should have low price" comments. Just because the company is new, doesn't mean the proprietors are new to electronic design.

I do. The length of your career and previous employers dont mean anything to...some people i guess. I understand that the guys on tgp are willing to plunk down large sums of money on a product theyve never used nor handled before because so and so that did the soldering worked at wherever....but others need some more....material proof that the product is quality. To wit....im sure some of the guys at dean usa have worked for fender or gibson custom shops....but that doesnt mean im going to want any of their shit.

It's a tough call. I personally don't dig the offensively high prices out there for pedals at all, but if that's your model then that's your model. If the customer base is there to support it then so be it I guess. If a new company starts out low and then creeps up to the high prices over time, they run the risk of alienating their loyal fans along the way. It still could work, but if they want to be up there in the high price game, then by all means, just start there and let us know that's where you want to hang. IMO of course.

These guys are still under $200, which to many (the TGP crowd) is still considered low.

Unfortunately so, I was offered a nice V-bass by the importer for exchange of sex... I mean promotional services, but I chose to decline. I already had a cheap half-OK V-bass for a spare bass. Mine sounded just about as bad, too... but bad on lesser important spectrum of sound. Also played way better, was better balanced... etc.

After I left, the band took the deal to hand it out for replacement bassist as a cool looking V-bass on stage. And it proved I was right not to take it.

Exactly. To me Walrus audio seems okay, looking good, yeah, and not sounding too bad either... but unfortunately everything they offer seems all done already by EVERYBODY. I don't have opinion on the price, since I couldn't see myself becoming interested enough to consider buying one.

Isn't that the truth. Saturation is an understatement for this market. The thing is...pedals are a bit of an addiction for many people. They need to try them ALL.

There are 1000s of different strains of weed. They all ultimately get you stoned, but in slightly different ways with slightly different flavors. A pothead needs to try them all just like a pedal addict needs to try every fuzz variant at least once.

Yea, I couldn't justify the prices... Too many unique things to try at that price point.
