I think it might be a Ric 3001, hard to tell though.

Must be some deep music. Those people look like they're contemplating something fierce...

EDIT: Sorry, unhelpful post.

What's the band?
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I don't think it's a 3001 - you can get a better look at it in their 2008 album preview, and the proportions are different from a Ric:

That said, I still have no idea what it actually is...

it has nothing written on the headstock... maybe it's some sort of custom/modded/franken-bass... :idk:

The goofy bridge and Ric-esque pickguard makes me think it's something old.

This is my suggestion as well.

If you check this article, the photo of Nicole is wicked huge, rez-wise - if you view it in a separate window, you can really zoom in. Looks like the headstock really is blank. Wonder if it's a no-name, or someone just painted over the logo...

It looks most like an old danelectro to me. The tiny tuners, body shape, bridge, etc. Then there's the missing logo, missing trussrod cover...the headstock has a weird shape to it though.

Upon looking at the large pic, the headstock has that chunky vantage/westbury tombstone look but theirs were nicer.
