Prototype Bass Pedal Demo (Tell me what i did right/wrong)

Post by greeny23 »

Taken suggestions from that thread on bass pedals and came up with this:

http://db.tt/whoI3SCC

its a quick clip, but it gets the job done in showing tone.

playing through a Squier VM Jazz Bass and a Roland JC60.

keep in mind i've only played bass for 3 days..

suggestions for improvements on the pedal tone? anything at all you like about it?

I think it's a bit bright sounding.

If that gives you any idea as to what you should add to it. I'd say more lows. As it is, its alright sounding. Is this the one knobbed pedal you have listed in your Shark Tank thread?

sure is. but i used a tb looper to toggle it on/off.

i'll mess with the input cap value to get some more bass for the next one i make.

Are you guys listening to this on good headphones? It has a pretty good amount of lows, I'd say. Yeah, it's not testicle-crushing, but it certainly doesn't sound like it's cutting much lows from the dry signal at the beginning. Sounds kind tonebender-y to me actually.
