Those are the Ring Mods I'm looking at. From what I've heard, they're quite different sonically.

As for those cables, just grab some Lava solderless kits. Those shits are super easy to assemble and get everything nice and tidy. You don't need to pay anyone for that kind of thing especially if you'll end up changing things around (which I'm sure you will )

and Schnikes - the Klon is ruling, dude. for the amp and guitars I'm using it with, I can't imagine a boost or low gain drive being better.

what fucking pisseses me OFF is that i had some extra monies stuff happen over the holidays and i was all excited to order a second Dingwall and i'm an IDIOT and ran a red light with a cop behind me, found out there's an old ticket i forgot about and my insurance didn't take care of the only freaking fender bender i've EVER been in so i spent the last three days going back and forth WITHOUT A CAR IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CAR WHY ARE ALL THE FUCKING PLACES YOU NEED TO GO TO FIX YOUR LICENSE ISSUES SO DAMN INACCESSABLE WITHOUT A FUCKING CARRRRR from DMV and the ridicuously overcrowded court.... and had to pay $900 fucking dollars.

so. INSANE. it's not even a punitive system anymore, it's just a way to force you to pay more taxes with zero viable avenue of redress.

lol. when the cop pulled me over (i stopped at the red light, dunno if a light a block down changed or something, but i waited then decided it was my turn to go i guess) convo was....

Cop - "so.... why'd you take off while the light was red?"
Me - "i did? i.... did NOT know that i did that."
Cop - "yeah! you were so casual about it, and i'm in this SUV Police Vehicle RIGHT behind you that i had to check the light 3 or 4 times to make sure it was still red before i pulled you over."
Me - ".... Matrix huh?"

Me - "what?"
Cop - "...... license and registration please."

he COULD have impounded my car for driving with an expired license, which would have FUCKED me, 'cause that's 30 days and like $3,000. he was nice enough to let me park it at a gas station then call some friends to come drive it home.

fucking. SUCKS. i had plaaaannnnns for that money. damn it.

also, i'm all fucked up on vicoden right now. love this shit. makes my playing SUPERB sounding. hence the ramble.

yeah. it's INSANE how quickly ridiculous amounts of money owed piles up if you forget one thing. they SO dick-handed me today too. i was at court, choice was wait for 3 hours where you're not allowed to read a book and HOPE that the judge might reduce my fine from $285 or just pay it and salvage some part of the day. i paid it. and as SOON as the charge went through this little fucker behind the safety glass told me, "oh, you do know that any late ticket is now subject to a $300 civil fine right? here's the paperwork. you can have a few weeks to pay that.".

FUCKER. i'm a pretty chill guy usually, but i told him he was lucky he was behind that glass. you don't think i might like to know i'm looking at SIX hundred dollars instead of THREE? piece of fucking shit. i told him to watch his ass after work. i might try to catch him outside to have a talk with him about proper customer service you fucking GOVERNMENT LACKEY that's supposed to be here for the average person not to get ass raped by a faceless bureuracracy.

i would never assault somebody over that (i save that shit for important times. like, preventing a rape, or some dick that spills a beer on my pedals, or somebody that doesn't understand that Home Movies was the best series, live action or animated, EVER), but i hope he thought i was serious. little prick.
