MASSIVE LOWS! Not in oh yeah my muffiant is heavy as fuck but like godzilla stepping on your chest and bouncing up and down, like it WILL hurt speakers, like two boom cars crashing into each other and 90mph, THAT with roaring nasty fuzz screaming over the top! Burn the world in a box if you will :thumb:

It's pretty interesting. You get the effect of having the clean signal blended in without really hearing a distinct clean signal (at least that's how it seems to my ears).. I dunno how to explain it. It's pretty sweet sounding.

Yes, I've played a TAFM, and it definitely did not change my opinion on clean blend. Good fuzz sound to it, though.

I'll readily admit that I'm in the minority on this one. Part of my dislike of it is that I like my clean tone high-mid-clanky and bright. Which sounds terrible mixed with fuzz.

Ahh. To be honest I didn't tweak it much or know what I was doing I probably just didn't mix much clean in.

yahp. i love me some clean blend too.

if you can make weird shit that actually tracks really low and WORKS with bass? great! i love the idea of the Wolf CPU, but i couldna get it to do anything. conversely, the Unpleasant Surprise and Year2525 sound GREAT on bass.

Heaviosity, without loss of overall toanz, be they low, low-mid, high-mid or high. Mid-bumps in general are welcome in my book. The ability to be cutting when need be. Some general craziness in the overall sound. Give it some fookin' CHUTZPAH and character.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

How about a clean blend with its own separate tone control (lo pass filter type)?

And what I want in a fuzz pedal is a dark-voiced Muff variant with flat mids.

Because no one has ever made one of those.

You're weird, gates are awesome. Now I don't want a gate for my fuzz all the time, but a gated fuzz through an envelope filter is about as much fun as one should be allowed to have while clothed.
