I had the fender bassman 300 and I got lots of great tones out of it although it was a speaker killer.

What kind of speakers did you run with it? I'm sure they'd have to be pretty hefty to handle 300 watts!

No, I don't think so. It's a really good amp with a wonderful clean channel that takes pedals very well. In fact, it's not really a reissue of the original Model T, but another, very different, amp. The original was a great and loud all porpouse amp, good also for bass, the new one is a good guitar amp...like many others!
You're not a musician, you're a low frequencies generator!

If its a vintage hiwatt cab with real fanes, it might be a worthwhile trade all though i think that amp setup is probably worth 1000-1200$ in todays market so you might be taking a slight loss, BUT those are 2 very rare pieces and an amazing setup for pedals.

OR50 and RV50 are two entirely different beasts. The OR series from what ive heard loves pedals, the RV series does not.

I was reading about how those Sound Citys had active preamps instead of passive ones, so basically each knob is a different gain control over a certain frequency range rather than a tone stack. Or something. I don't even fuckin' know, but it sounded siiiiiiick.
