Quick Expression Pedal Question

Post by Jwar »

How do I find out which expression pedals have 500k pots in them? So annoying that different pedals call for different expression pedals.

I don't know of an expression pedal with that pot value, maybe a modded EB volume pedal :idk: I do know most expression pedals range from 10-100k so that's what a pedal will expect if you're wanting a normal sweep.

I agree though, wish that shit was more standardized. Just google, specs are listed on most. I know for sure the Boss/Roland stuff won't do, it's all 10K exp. I thing the Moog EP2 uses a 100K so there's a couple extremes.

Yea I was googling and got confused. lol

The reason I'm asking is that the DMB Lunar Echo (Haki is the shit!) calls for a 500k linear pot expression pedal. I plugged in the one I had and noticed a HUGE volume drop. So was hoping someone would know of one. That must be an odd value.

MMMM, Lunar Echo....yum.
I've read you can connect two of the jacks with a cable on the EB pedal and make it work as an expression pedal.
The Malekko 213 fuzz also has an exp pedal input, and no info at all provided on the requirements...
Special low-frequency version.

The eb stereo vokume/pan is the only store bought vp with 500k as far as I know.

If you've got an old wah (or find one dirt cheap) it's just matter of attaching the desired pot value. There's no magic going on in your average ep/vp.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

If someone wanted to mod one to have different values, would it work to put in a 1meg pot and a bunch of resistors on a rotary switch?

Is there a way to use the Wah as expression without loosing the wah effect? I like my wah and use it to make weird sounds at the end of my chain.
