It actually sounds pretty good I still think the price is prohibitive but if I didn't have a deluxe pitch pirate I would consider it. Although at the price new you could score a used EHX DMB and put a fuzz in the loop and get similar sounds. I was still pleasantly surprised and if they are continuing to have better build quality than they did in the past then props to them.

You're most likely right. But the same thinking still applies. The reason the Clarinot has so little delay filtering is because it doesn't need to have clear repeats because it's always going to have fuzz to mask the sound.

You have to filter the HELL out of the PT2399 to make the repeats not have monster hiss. Same basic deal with BBDs, but with those you have to go a step further and use a compander to keep the noise down.

Anyway, it's a cool idea.

This definitely sounds interesting...but I don't need another delay for a while. Rainbow Machine into Skreddy Echo into Dispatch Master will tide me over for a while on the modulated delay spectrum.

well, i've given up on the 919, so my delay dreams are now confined to SS/BS if Brian ever decides to make one. sorry DBA, but that's just how it goes

i like the idea of it... but i think the malekko lofi 616 is the better concept...

i've been wanting a lofi delay but don't want to buy the timeline for ONE setting (even though it's orgasmic)

guess to fully realize my dreams, I'll have to buy a delay with an effects loops and run a shit ton of pedals through it to get the sound i really want...

I have a special spot in my heart for DBA. probably due to my GF's obsession with APTBS and pretty much anything noisy and shoegazy

I'm not getting all the Pitch Pirate comparisons? Maybe the Clari(not) (barely) with the delay + fuzz combo but the PP and Echo Dream seem to do their own thing entirely from what I'm hearing.
