Hey mudfuzz, have you used any other Katanasound stuff besides the Super Bass Fuzz and Thundercloud? I'm thinking about picking up a Venemous Snake, what with my undying love for octave fuzzes.



I'm also considering just buying a second Super Bass Fuzz. I guess it depends on the cost, I found their new US dealer but haven't gotten a quote back yet.

No, I keep meaning to but something always comes up like a deal on LAL or MASF and ... instead of "classic" fuzz types I 'm still interested in the pedal and I as well have been thinking on someday getting a backup SBF because I still haven't found a high gain fuzz pedal that sits in the mix as well as it for me.

Am I the only one here that does that? You have what works and you still keep looking for basically the same thing as a backup or one up but end up still using the same thing

Seriously. I've tried and tried, but that's the only HEAVY fuzz that kills in a mix for me as well. I love love love crazy heavy fuzz but it has never worked well in a band. Except for the joyous Super Bass Fuzz.

I bought mine there in August (or September), price was $265 plus shipping. Had to pay by wire transfer but that's for non-US'ers, US might have easier payment options.

Oh yes. The Perfect Fuzz for me has been the Malekko B:Assmaster for like 4 years now, but I keep buying stuff in hopes of finding something similar. Why do bother? Who knows!?! And then after searching for the Best. Heavyfuzz. Ever. I finally came across the Super Bass Fuzz. And yet... I keep looking for more.

well, sometimes you run into stuff that does what you want EVEN BETTAH. i've loved the Wren & Cuff PPB as my main CUT THROUGH EVERYTHING fuzz for awhile and the Oxide for my thick synthy low fuzz, but the TAFM kicked the Oxide and i THINK the Squarewave might be taking the PPB's spot.

Another Super Bass Fuzzer?! Hooray!

At some point this year I will buy the Super Bass Fuzz...I tried to find one when I was in Japan last February, and I succeeded, but do to the shitty exchange rate it was priced equivalent to almost $400.

My current favorite fuzz is the FEA Photon Fuzz, I can keep it controllable but it can get crazy at the same time. Really dig the octave feature as well. My TAFM is a close second, I want to see if I can get this old one modded for the gate switch.
