Re: The Confessions Thread
I played Battlefield 3 for like...
...30 hours in the past 3 days. Fuck. Everyone had a couple days off from work.
Right now I don't give a fuck about learning music theory or practicing or even touching a guitar. I just wanna make drones and stupid noises because they're easy and satisfying. But not really satisfying.

Make drones over footage from Battlefield 3.
Make drones using sounds from Battlefield 3.
Maybe more satisfying.

duder,
you're kinda missing the point.

All I'm saying is that you can appreciate the female form without devaluing their other qualities. I think, it's really not important anymore

yeah, but like, when you reduce someone to an object you're kinda devaluing them.

I suppose if you take it literally. I could've considered that word choice a lot better. It all depends on how you take the metaphor. If I'm calling someone a piece of meat, they could still be a prime rib. Though you're right, it's all about the semantics. Like "dayum that respectable, self-empowered humanized embodiment of Athena in sexy!"
All I ask is that ladies remember that guys are secretly insecure as fuck and value recognition and validation of our physical being more than anything.

Okay, i get chuh.
All i ask is that dudes try and understand that ladies/whomever may not like/need validation from others. And that it can be hurtful.
No beef with you brah.

I just played a twelve string for the first time and the first thing that popped into my head was "Wish You Were Here."

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

Re: The Confessions Thread
My buddy has a 12-string and every time I pick it up I play "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Zeppelin right away. That song, and "Wish You Were Here", are probably the reason I started playing guitar.
When I'm in a guitar store I can never remember any songs other than "Search and Destroy" and anything off Ziggy Stardust(usually the title track).
I don't even know what my point was, I think it was one of those "Just take the compliment" things. But this is all theoretical, I know when you're actually interacting with women all logic goes out the window and you're always wrong.

Re: The Confessions Thread
I prefer to play bass through guitar amps. I also like guitar through PAs and bass amps.

All I have at home is an old beat to hell Roland bass combo with a 15" speaker, and I love playing my strat through it. Bass, it sounds awful, but it somehow manages to be awesome with guitar, both clean and fuzzy.

Re: The Confessions Thread
I have a 1x15" bass speaker enclosure with a dead speaker and I need to do something with it. I might make it into a synth station. It'd be the perfect height.
EDIT: I just need a synth, and a sequencer, and a drum machine. I have the obligatory hipster-macbook already, just no idea what to use it for.
