Which EHX in a feedback loop?

Post by The Mad Owl »

Your thoughts?

Have run a clone theory and a germanium od with no luck... maybe it was just the pedals, because my #1 echo was great in the loop

any other ehx pedals go great/ don't go great in the loop? I know feedback loops are a tricky thing (i've been at it for almost 2 years now)

I want a giant bunny and I want a bunch of regular bunnies and they will form a hive mind and the giant bunny will be the queen bunny and they will attack in swarms.

I've found that if I put any of the high-five variants in a feedback loop with a pedal that's having trouble feedbacking, feedback will occur. I've also found that most synth and fuzz pedals do well in feedback loops. Phasers can sound cool, but most of the time I've noticed that they won't feedback by themselves.

Really if you have a feedback loop, just stick your whole board in the loop then see what works and what doesn't, because if one pedal won't feedback on its own then another pedal probably will, and combinations of pedals in feedback loops is really where the magic happens.

yeah, i'm currently running 6 in my loop.

i've found that using dirt as bookends to my loop have yielded great results...

just wondering about ehx, as i have come across a mini guide to their pedals and some of them are very enticing

Both the Micro Synthesizer pedals are really cool for toneshaping in feedbackloops I think! But I forgot if they feedback by themselves

Holy Stain pitch shift in loop = Rainbow Machine
The tremolo mode in a loop gets extra cool and throbby

Small Clone does nothing for me in a loop.

Small Stone either does nothing or unpleasant sounds, SMMwH is kinda cool but really it only makes one note, can sound nice though. Deluxe Memory Man does nothing by itself, but sound amazing with other stuff like fuzz in a loop.

At least with my utter stutter. Cool thing about them is the very least it'll be a square glitchy tremolo
