the show had like NO promotion, fo'serious. it was me and 2 other people, and the bands (one of which only had 2 members and one didn't show up till 10mins before they went on)
so the first band was pretty not good....like not bad, but just not to my liking either
drummer wasn't showing any facial expressions and sat up straight the whole time
bassist was cool
singer/guitarist couldnt really sing but played...decently i guess
keyboardist/singer was cool, i liked him
second band was the guys i almost played with, The Escorts

holy crap, just a guy drummin and a girl playin and singin
the drummer was BEASTLY, one serious monster of a drummer
during one song he was keeping a semi breakbeat sounding thing going with one hand and playing bells with the other...while doing backup vocals!
... the girl had a great voice, played a 60s Supro semihollow and cranked her deville to high hell
these guys was loud as heck, they had free ear plugs near their merch table...they played for about 45mins till the final band showed up
when i talked to the girl she gives me a free CD! how cool is that! she said she'd give me a shirt too once they have my size!

totally uncool vibe
they had really good gear, really really good gear.....and dressed like homeless pricks
the singer played a 335 and the lead player a paul custom so right there you know they're douches
and what do they play? blues...of course, SRV sounding crap blaring out of their devilles/ampegs and high end gretsch kit....
so i go outside and hang out with the drummer from Kris and the bassist and lead player from the Escorts, all really cool i should say
now i must mention that the show was in a decrepit part of downtown, so theres crazies all over the place. one of these crazies comes walking towards us yelling to himself, YELLING to himself
so i go inside and hear the pricks playin a War Pigs cover ...
.....
the guitarists had taken off their shirts....

it was like "dude lemme suck you off" "naw man i wanna go first"
then when the show was over and we had to wait for them to pack their crap up 'fore we could leave (me/the escorts/kris were gonna go to dennys) these freakin sons of...leprous camels not only take their time, they hang out and talk to each other! the nerve of some people!
anyway the douches finally get done and we head to dennys
and hang out for like 2hours, too funny man all topics were covered from scat porn to lesbians that look like horses to drums, i think im gonna try to get a good band together afterall just so i can tour with them
