Ps are awesome. J neck pickups are fun but Ps are more fun.

I honestly haven't picked up my bass in very long. But I love wailing on basses, making shit shake, but the way my J is set up right now it's not working out too well. Need thicker strings and a thicker pickup. So yeah, now I want a P haha.

200 is fucking huge, I wonder if you can even wrap it around the tuner post without the string breaking.

Just get a mudbucker. Or two, or three.
Mudbuckers and your huge-ass string. And a brass slide.
Fuck it, ditch the string and buy a large spring, nail it into your headstock and somewhere in the general vicinity of the bridge.
Ultimate doom toans.

You can say this is right for the doom, the sounds stays tight as hell in very low tunings (way better than my '78 Fender Precision), it is like the pickup is made for it. Talking about the G1 by the way and I only own one for 2 days ;)

Ah I need to get one of those.. I have a 195 on my old Ibanez Blazer and it's a little floppy.
