that Rick, she is...so fine.

Oh my amp is nothing special... Fender Blues DeVille 410, nothing special but gets the job done.

Love the banjitar.

I only got it today. But I was too lazy for a NGD thread so I decided to stick it in here.

The banjo is not so great really. Thing has a neck like two baseball clubs and I am delicate when it come to guit's necks. It also does not really belong to me but is a permanent loan from a co-worker. I never play it.

hmm, I need to investigate how the Blues Deville 410 differs from the Hot Rod Deville 410.
I held onto one of those while a buddy paid me for another amp - it was not too bad - the clean channel anyway.
seems I remember that is was pretty pedal-friendly, anyway.

welcome, btw!
Maybe partying will help.

Thanks!
The Blues DeVille is more mellow and has more headroom than the Hot Rod, as far as I know. It's basically a Blues Deluxe with an overdrive channel from what I've been told. And yeah it's pretty pedal friendly and plenty loud. When I first got it, it was a little too trebly for my tastes, and somehow sticking a 12AT7 instead of an AX in the phase inverter helped with that.

Just finished this little Telecaster. Bareknuckle P92, upgraded bridge, nut, pots, input.

Nice. Debating between a Ric and a Jazzmaster for my next guitar. Just thinking a Ric might be too bright with my Sound City's and Twin Reverb. Aren't they made of Maple? How does the tonal quality of your Mustang compare to the Ric?

Rics aren't overly bright. The bridge pickup is pleasantly bright (not overly trebley) and the neck pickup get's hella dark-it out basses my jazzmaster on certain settings.

I love it. Bright but not harsh. Loud. Thick. A little too much gain for what im doing right now, but works excellent for the most part. Notes sound very detailed and it really brings out the chime and glass sound in my Sound City's and Twin Reverb. Makes that $160 guitar sound at least like a $573 guitar :thumb:

Making it harder for me. I really want thw toaster pickups though instead of the high gains. And those are a little more rare and expensive. As far as a Jazzmaster, I'd probably build it from Warmoth. It's been a tough choice. Ric will have much better resale value. Just wish I really had some time with it and my amps before I purchase.

The Ric is bright, but not too bright. The hi gain pickups sound like something between a strat single coil and a P90. I usually play with both pickups turned on and use the blend knob to find the sweet spot, but that's mostly because my amp is super trebly. I replaced the pickups in my jag stang so it sounds more like a Jazzmaster sorta. SD Phat Cat P90 (without the cover) on the bridge and a danelectro lipstick on the neck (inspired by Tom Verlaine who replaced the pickups in his Jazzmaster with lipsticks in the 70s). It sounds awesome but dare I say it's brighter than the Ric.

The first guitar I bonded with... unfortunately, I let it fall into disrepair after a heavy period of use and eventually stopped using it very much because I never had the time and money to take care of it. This past birthday my partner took it into a really great shop and got it rewired as a surprise. Best ever.

It's a Kay/Truetone "Red Devil" - early 60's

The box on top of the amp looks like an Ekdahl Moisturizer to me. http://www.knasmusic.com/products/moisturizer/moisturizer.php, I want one.
