it's so easy to make wiring mistakes (at least for me) so yeah, triple check the wiring is a good idea :thumb:

Does anyone want one of these for cost of kit and shipping? I'd like to hear one, and also see what the trouble is, so I'm willing to put it together for free just to get some hands on.

Dude. I totally populated my board wrong. Fucking face palm. No wonder nothing is working. lol. Desoldering it all is going to be a bitch.

Well if enjoyadrian populated his board right, then I fucked up. Here's a pic of mine.

Also, I'm getting absolutely nothing happening. No LED coming on, no sound. Nadda. It bypasses fine, but that's it. Makes me think I did put some of there resistors in the wrong spot. I had to google everything to figure out where it went though, so I could totally see making a mistake.

Have no way of knowing if you put the parts in the right spot duder. Is there a layout, or were the spots on the board marked?

Two capacitors look wrong and your ic orientation looks wrong. But what do I know, I accidentally killed mine

The ic's are definitely backwards, jwar. The ceramic and tant caps might be too, but the ic's are the main issue.

I may have to buy a new board. Fuck me. Too much work to desolder all that. I can get extra IC's and caps at radio shack. Hopefully these IC's....Email incoming soon Aen.

Did you solder the ics directly to the board? If you used the ic sOckets, you can pull them out and reverse them.

Do you own desoldering braid? YouTube how to use it. It's cheap and easy to desolder with.

Would I get power to the LED even if the IC's were in the wrong spot? What confuses me is I flipped them, then tested power and still have nothing. I mean should I at very least have power to my LED's even if some of the other components are in the wrong spots?

use a very very small flat screwdriver and slide it in horizontal. that should make it loose so it comes out really easy without bending pins. Jwar I think you blew the LED. your LED resistor is on the ground side of the green LED in the photo. remember that one side of the resistor is basically right at +9v since the diode (LED) has a impedance of zero once the forward voltage is reached. if you blow the LED and it blows closed, it will bring your V+ rail right down to ground. they usually blow open so you probably just have a dead LED and multiple problems with the pedal.
