it's actually not a lot different than a normal bass until you get to around the 13th or 14th fret. just a bit of a stretch from 1-4ish.

tapping is easy peasy the hands rest a bit more ergonomically, so it feels more comfy to me.

Hmm, I figured as much. The low notes are prolly closer to what I'm more used to with my upright scale anyways, so I'm sure it would just take practice on it. But damn they are so shexy. I want to abuse one like right now...
