Bitcrushers

Post by Caesar »

There doesn't seem to be very many bitcrushers out there.

Frantabit
Geiger Counter
Red Panda

Who else is making them? I've seen some that aren't being made anymore like Wrong Side of Uranus or Hexe. Whatcha got?

Wrong Side of Uranus on Hexe? Whut?

The Hexe Bitcrusher is in production and will probably not be discontinued in the near future.

There is also the OTO - Biscuit which sounds amazing but is not really suited for crushing a guitar signal easy and on the fly like the others...

I'm rocking the Hexe right now, I love it.

Also, here's two others that I used to have for your list that have been discontinued:

Alesis Bitrman
Frostwave Sonic Alienator

If you're willing to consider analog sample rate reducers, which are similar-ish, then you can also add:

Bugbrand Bugcrusher
Catalinbread Heliotrope
Copilot Antenna / 2
the squarewave parade downgrade
I'm sure there's a lot more ...

Bah! my search-fu skills are too weak. Looks like the other thread covers it.

In fairness to you, that thread title makes it less searchable, but anyhoo, lots of good info in there.

...yeh lol. People are still begging for the hollow earth to come back (or just come), let alone this

I'd go with the HEXE or Franta if I were u, HEXE is hard to get in the us of a, so franta wins in my book
BONUS!: The franta has an analog ring mod-y mode as well as the true digital bit crusher, the best of both worlds
