Awesome! They've been around for 20yrs or so but I just recently started listening to them.
I really enjoy music that isn't "heavy" but still feels "heavy".
If anyone has suggestions for other bands in the same vein please post them too. :thumb:

I like their album Dolores a lot.

maybe also check out The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation and The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. I think it's mostly the same group of people under both names.

I love them, a lot. A serious lot. Only got into them recently, enough, but between them and BADBADNOTGOOD, I am very happy with music at the moment.
I play.

boring as shit overrated cult status band trying far too hard to make a micro-genre out of a single aspect of an already fairly specific genre

One would disagree. It is particularly suited to certain things. Disney's 'Oceans' with the sound off, bassy speakers, a dark room... CANDLES.

But that's just me. I do have a weak spot for the Double Bass though. A serious one.

Awesome stuff. I listened to them a while back but then forgot what they were called and couldn't find them again, until now.

I'm kinda over the honeymoon period, and they remain one of the best things I've hear this year. 'Gore Motel' is a bit boring, a bit Earth-esque, but everything else I've heard has shaken me to my very core. With the double bass. And the wobbles.
I play.
