To the point where you bought a pedal you forgot you already had?

no, never bought sth. a second time yet (wolf computer may be the first - but i'm aware of already having one ;) ). but you are right, would have been easily possible (a lot of my stuff is still boxed 'cause of a move)

I keep a comprehensive gear list, but I always find that there are pedals and things that I've forgotten to list.

I don't even have a board put together right now, but I'm thinking my soon-to-come Bedroom Board
will have about 8 pedals on it, leaving 25 or so on the shelf.
I'm going to make another small board just for my 18-watter, though,
and I like to switch around dirt pedals depending on what amp I'm using.
Pretty much all those pedals I like and I'm sure I'll use at some point.
Maybe partying will help.

Bunches of pedals, been using most all of 'em lately, separated on two boards. Only a few things chilling on the shelf due to space constraints.

True bypass looper comes in handy when going apeshit with the pedal chain but I've been jamming in a stoner/noise/drone duo (soon to be trio) at my friend's new studio. Been busy working out what to use, narrowing shit down you might say. These decisions can be difficult.

I was thinking about pedals before I got my first bass. By the time I had moved on to guitar a few months later I had about 7.
But right now I'm purging; not going down to nothing but only 3-4 (not including tuner).

Thats about all I really need, too... although I do have a medium sized board since I have to switch between two bands... I sometimes find it a little tedious even though I only have 8 pedals on it.

Nope.

I have lots and proud.

When I was gigging and whats nots I was always minimalistic because of money.

I put up, shut up and went about my business. When I got a lot suddenly I'm supposed to feel bad for those that don't?
Or alternatively, and in my eyes worse yet, I'm supposed to feel ashamed for playing with a lot of pedals?

Yeah, nah, I enjoy pedlulz and if it were up to me and not $$$ I'd have 1000s more!

I hate pedals. Deeply.
Also, I HATE having to think of the best way to wire them so that I have an easier time shutting 6 things off at once, and having all the sounds I want to have.. and then trying to fit that on my pedalboard.
FFS!

But the music I make with it makes up for the pain.

Well, I have more off my board than most of my friends have.
I had a little over 30 at one point, freaked out, and sold some.
I think I'm back up at that point again.

yeah, I do not feel weird about having a bunch of pedals. They're tools, and you can't have too many tools, right?

True Bypass looper will alleviate some frustration/hate when it comes to managing multiple pedals. One switch will shut everything off if that's an issue....

Right, happy is the feeling I'd use to describe owning a bunch of pedals.
