How about some Greek music?

Post by jesterhead »

I always wondered how would Greek rock bands sound to non Greeks. So. here are some early to mid 90s Greek rock bands you may find interesting

Necromantia, all the way. Rotting Christ and Varathron. Septic Flesh did some pretty good death metal stuff back then. (waitamminute - they are still around? Wow)

Aphrodite's Child is of course a classic prog band, way more interesting than Vangelis releases.

Or did You mean... Greek language?

Well, i mean Greek rock bands that were not meant to be heard outside the Greek boarders. Like the bands i linked in the first post. Bands like Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh etc are well known worldwide, especially in Europe, so no need to talk about them. This is also the reason their members are complete asholes who think they own the scene, but this is a completely different subject to discuss.

BTW Septic Flesh not only still exist but just released the best album of their career!
