Bliptronic 5000- plus need help with my thingamagoop
Thinking of getting my son (turning 6) A noisemaker for his birthday.
He likes sitting on the floor with my noise board and turning on pedals, usually he sits there with a guitar with a floyd and just kills the whammy bar while tweaking pedals and playing with the feedback loop
http://www.amazon.com/ThinkGeek-Bliptro ... 319&sr=1-2
This thing looked like a good option for a noisemaker he could play with and use with minimal learning curve.
Any thoughts?? Any better options??
I have an old Casio CZ1 synth but it is huge and hard for a kid his age to use.

My dad is so cool
He is the coolest dad in dad school
He does not break any dad rules
He would pick you up if I asked him too

not so much a noisemaker, but something that can be plugged into pedals with the right cable 1/8 to 1/4. I have an old one that is really fun.

Re: Bliptronic 5000
Thanks for the helpful hints,
My son is the best, he is really into science for his age which is pretty cool.
Last year I got to take a board into his preschool, I think I am bringing a bunch of gear to kindergarten this year as well.

this is fun too!
Ended up getting one of these as an ILF Purchase which is awesome!!!!
Working on soldering it together now,
most of my soldering has been point to point, first few components on the board looks like I had my iron up a little hot.
Didn't seem to do any damage or anything just not pretty.
Curious, what type of temperature do you guys use for PC board stuff?
I can set it anywhere just looking for insight
also I am using 60/40 if that helps.
Got all the top board mounted stuff done last night most of the bottom board
Starting with wired stuff tonight
Walked away because I was getting a bit tired and didn't want to make mistakes.
also as a bonus: I think this is the first time I have ever used anything other than plain text on here!

Good to know: Upgraded from a crappy radioshack to an actual soldering station so I can control things now,
I started at 800 (WAY TO HOT)
by the end I brought it down to a comfortable 700
Thanks everyone for the kind words: don't always feel like a good parent, but I have noticed the people who think they are awesome at parenting usually suck and the people who acknowledge they have no clue are generally adequate.
