So, Infanem used to not have a return policy.

um.........i think a lot are missing a key point.

though without knowing actual issues for each person involved,
you should have been given the option of having your cash returned to you before the pedal was sent to you.
if in fact it was overdue by that much.

Yea, I'm getting a feeling that "should just be expected" in this case. Especially cause they're just SO good. :erm:

The problem is as a startup you really do need to establish a good reputation as a builder. And not just have the "I'm just a start up, so I can't afford that" attitude. Or you can ride a coat tail and just say fuck it... I've got credibility. I think situations should be taken in a case by case basis. Obviously, with not knowing the whole story we can only assume what may be going on.

Don't worry Devi. I'll go fuck myself.

But I do agree. We need to keep the builder drama to a minimum. It's not healthy for the forum.

And makes you want to buy some of those boss modeling pedals for some odd reason...

For reals though, let's all keep in mind this is a $245 dollar pedal, from a very small builder. That's a lot of money to have to return for a one-man operation, it makes perfect sense that he wouldn't be able to. Yes, maybe "no returns" should be noted at check-out but that's about as much fault as I can find here.

I guess it's kinda crappy to have made a public post about it? I dunno, I get why you'd feel burned but I don't know how possibly hurting Ken's business really helps anyone in the long run.

Hi, OP here again. I'm gonna respond to the things I've seen that needs some explaining.

-Why I would get rid of an Infanem pedal?
Cause I needed a phaser for a 8 dates mini tour that's no just over. I had to use another one cause of the delay ; an old phase 100 I had lying around. I love it. If it works, don't fix it'.

-You should've PM Infanem first
I have. Tried to be as polite and kind as possible while explaining why I wanted to return it. He didn't answer me with as much details as he did here. He just answered "we don't take returns". No hello, no good bye, no "sorry we're too small" or whatever.

-You will get rid of it in B/S/T
My FS thread for an unopened Faye Sing with a 15$ drop has been there for some days with no success. I put it because I thought it would be more convenient for both Infanem and me to unload it there instead of returning which was the last resort. Seeing it doesn't sell, I contacted Infanem

"There's always two sides of a story" Devi
You know that's funny, that's pretty much what I tried to explain BC so he wouldn't sue you. Sorry to disagree but that's not the case. I'd be curious to see how Infanem's story differs from mine.

The right way to deal with that would be to take my pedal back and update his policies to never have to take a single one back in the future.
Any other reaction simply sucks and proves disrespect toward clients.

You know.... pedal builders deal with a certain breed of insufferable customers that we've really never had a word to describe until now.

Levy is a good word... it's short and to the point and pretty much describes the one thing we hate dealing with in this industry...
