Also, are there good and bad Mars Volta records? 'Cause what I've heard (dunno exactly what) I thought was kinda show-off and lame.. Do I just not get it?

There are some records that pretty much all the fans agree are fuckin' amazing, but the rest are pretty polarizing. For most people the divide starts to happen at Amputechture; I personally love that album, but a lot of people that I know who love the Mars Volta can't stand it. Then again, they like Octahedron and that is my least favorite thing they've done thus far. Bedlam in Goliath has a lot of good shit on it, but I haven't met many people that love it.

I'd bet that most would say that Frances the Mute and De-Loused are the best. I would certainly say they're the most accessible, and they also happen to have most of my favorite songs on them. Eriatarka and Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt blew my fucking mind when I first heard them. Plus Frances the Mute's title track from the Widow single is one of the best song's they've done, in my opinion of course. It definitely makes the whole album for me.

You get actual stamps that you can use for food but, a lot of people will just convert them to cash by selling them for x cents on the dollar.

Yeah, it's a government program for low-income households. Nowadays it's often not real stamps but a digital card with a certain amount on it that can only be used to buy certain pre-packaged food items. I used to work at a gas station that would accept them and we'd have plenty of people use them on a number of different things, so

I just looked into a guitar-center catalog(so sue me, I've bought things there) and spotted a T-Rex tap delay for $169. I'm interested. How do others feel about this? I just happen to be looking for some kind of interesting, decent quality delay to add to my board since my Ibanez DE7 is just being used for pedal tones and self-oscillating(time all the way down, repeat most of the way up ).
