Agreed, dominates the Bullet in every way, except price that is.

My bullet cable is flipping beast mode, haven't tried a lava but I have tried other lava cables and would still play my bullet

You must compare coily to coily, otherwise the findings are flawed.

lava and bullet both make quality cables. as far as coilys go, they're the ones to buy. i haven't done a side-by-side comparison between those two, but if you want more clarity in your mids and highs, you're going to want something that is low capacitance... and not coiled. (sorry folks. )

if i were recording i would use bill lawrence's BL-150 low capacitance cable. for live i use a lava, but i'm sure a bullet cable would have comparable results. i've compared a lava coil to the BL-150 direct between a Tele and a Fender Twin, and honestly it's like apples and oranges. so much of the upper frequencies are cut by the Lava, which leads to upping the trebs and the mids to about 6 or 7 on the amp. with the low capacitance cable, however, you'd barely wanna press those two amp knobbies past 2 or 3. the upside to the BL-150 is that you wouldn't have to deal with all that hiss/hum that comes with turning those knobs that high.

but that's just my experience. i've heard people make the shittiest broke-ass cables sound awesome. if you're looking for sparkle and high endy stuff, i wouldn't recommend a coiled cable. but then again i haven't tried bullet cables. but you can totally send me free swag, bullet cable guy :p
i'm half kidding.
anyway,
:idk:
well i guess, but i just don't know.

I'm thinking it'll be cool to have a coily cable, because, even if they roll off highs, it's pretty hard to hear any highs at all when you're constantly unplugging your cable due to getting tangled up in shit all the time.

Plus u rock da bass holmes so...

Of course it's known that coily cables will roll off mids and highs, lava just rolls off less, a/b'd em and that's the reality. Live? Who gives a shit, nobody can tell the difference but the coily cables sure look cool! :thumb:

Because your pedals don't need to move around on stage? And you can't see them anyway if you have a pedaltrain style board. :idk:

Someone needs to try this on their normal cables:

Use a thinner pipe, though. That dude used way too big of a pipe.

Best color imo, because I have it. Sounded way better than the other colors I have tried. I think it takes timed effects a little better and thickens up fuzz more than black and red. After I got it, I was instantaneously able to sweep, but it asked me never to do it in front of another person or it's tone blessings would be revoked.
