Cheap Analogue delay?
I was thinking of using an Orange Microcrush for jamming... since it's so portable. But it'll be too dry on it's own, so I need some delay. Any ideas? I need something with good battery life, which is why I said Analogue. Carbon Copy would be nice but it's bit too expensive. IF there's a cheaper clone maybe.

Re: Cheap Analogue delay?
if you can
a) build your own stuff
b) find a good preamp I HIGHLY recommend this

not really meant for guitar, but works GREAT on synths. It says you gotta find a decent preamp to clean it up a lil..

Someone has already mentioned Artec in another thread IIRC.
Also, the Biyang AD-8.

Artec SE-ADL can be had on eBay for cheap. Demo videos here and here.
I've got an Orange Microcrush as well. The clean channel is okay unless you really crank it, then it can be noisy despite it being SS. The distortion is a lot of fun, the tone knob becomes like an 'intensity' (but not a gain) knob and it can sound very garage rock or very compressed/dark. Battery life is decent. Honestly though, it's not very loud. I've got battery-powered iPod speakers that are louder and have less noise when turned up.

Hmm, maybe I could get portable speakers for the Amplug?
I know it's not going to be as loud as a microcube or anything, but as long as the sound it can output sounds good, that's fine for me. Would it be possible to swap out the speaker, for a laugh?
Also would it be possible to use it as a mini speaker for my laptop without blowing it? I use the Microcube for that all the time.

Look at the Moen Pretty Dolly.
They are up on Ebay all the time.
Not expensive, sounds good and well built.
Doesn't roll the treble off as much as some analog delays do.
Positive ground so can't be daisy chained.
