Re: Black Arts Toneworks BLACK FOREST
Tried mine out last night. Wasn't with my rig, but it sounded really sick. Love that selector switch. Reminds me of the filter on an OR120, but more useful. Cleans up nice, gets more pissed when you lay into it. That's what I look for. MORE PISSED! haha.
Be giving it a serious go at practice tonight. Can't wait.
Oh, and I had my friend try it on her bass rig.... whoa mama! HUGE through her Model T. Epic sustain, no lowend lost, and again, so responsive to her dynamics.
This thing really seems to open up when you dig in.

anybody tried this with a Fendery amp yet? seems like it's mainly doom duders using it thus far.
Maybe partying will help.

I'm using it with a 40w Carr Slant 6V head (Deluxe Reverbish) and a couple Emperor 2x12s. Sounds incredible and I don't rock the Doomz, per se!

How're you guys feeling about the Depth control? The differences between the settings seem pretty subtle to me. Your thoughts?

Got my #18 yesterday. What a great pedal. Got very nice sounds. It shines even more with the gain below 12 o'clock - really got a great sound with gnarly hints of fuzz on the bass string that way.
there will be fun to come with this pedal.
no. it is not drastic but fairly enough of a shift. get a new amp
B.A.T. really brings the great stuff.

Re: Black Arts Toneworks BLACK FOREST
I really like the lower gain settings as well. Makes for a nice thick boost plus added sparkle and some very cool fuzziness depending on your attack. Higher gain stuff is excellent too and very different than other B.A.T. offerings but it's the low gain settings that surprised me this time around.
In the first couple positions, differences are fairly subtle but I notice a big change in the amount of fuzz/breakup and overall ease of summoning it with more extreme depth settings.
