I don't have my biographies with me to establish a date, but thats not the point of the thread.

I fucking love Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, it's my favorite song of theirs (I think). The verse's vocal lines are just powerful and well sung, and the bass line kicks fucking ass.

Someone said something about the pumpkins "It's like listening to all of your favorite bands at once." I think the same can be said about Nirvana, it just takes everything from the ramones/sex pistols to the pixies/sonic youth and it fucking rips.

And on top of that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NyhFqN7-Mc read the description. That's my kind of guy, I could give a shit about his bad habits, stuff like that is just plain cool.

RIP Kurt and thanks for the great music!

I've been a big fan of Nirvana since Nevermind came out, I was 18 when he died and I still listen to all their cds... I just think he wrote great songs, rockin' guitars and catchy choruses never sounded better.

In Utero was my first Nirvana album. Its still my favorite. 15 years = Crazyness. But kind of not. I was only 9 in 1994. I kinda missed the whole event. Ugh.

Woah, 15 years already?! Geez, how did that sneak up on me...

I'll be totally honest, I was never a huge fan of Nirvana - I liked them, don't get me wrong, but I was never what you'd call a fan, I was much more an Alice in Chains guy, but that all ended in a rather depressingly similar manner...

Still, kudos to Kurt, and RIP.

In Utero is definitely my personal favourite of their albums as well.

You just named basically all of my favorite Nirvana songs. The only ones I would add to that list are Aneurysm and Lounge Act.

I remember being in my kitchen and my roommate telling me that Kurt died. Weird day.
I was a fan. I never saw them live because I figured I'd have time to see them and passed on the chances I had.

Kurt was a great songwriter, but Dave Grohl had way more of an effect on me.
People had told me that 'less is more'.....but Dave Grohl SHOWED me that 'less is more'.
