Y'know me too. Except I'd be more like the Tom Waits of the soul world. Which I suppose would make me David Byrne
Confession: I'm really only motivated to work on this group project for a class because I'm crushing hard on one of the girls in the group. Although she did just add me on Facebook...
EDIT: Currently trying to segue from project talk to personal chit chat.

being at college makes me feel more inspired than ever. i've been making all kinds of really cool art, sculpture, writing music (!) etc. that's all awesome but the people here are not really into making things which sucks and makes me feel like an antisocial loner when i really just wanna eventually play music with people and make art with them. school gives me the environment but not the vehicle which is
and i'm even a fucking art student. i'm an art student who makes art all the time but has no art student friends to make art with or get excited about art with. all art students do here is get drunk and do ritalin and act obnoxious and then not even make art afterwards! i'm glad my academic advisor is so ill because he's like one of the few people i can share my art and frustration with. he even sympathizes with the lack of student activity which is insane. the environment here is driving me crazy. i have like no close friends who make art when not doing it for a class.

Art students suck. Just be grateful they're like that, and not like the ones I went to school with when I was getting my art degree. Ever see the movie Art School Confidential? I lived that movie.
And at the time I thought that by not becoming a computer programming major, and being an Art major instead I'd be with more normal people. I was wrong.

The computer programming department was the most terrifying thing I have ever seen. I opened the door to the main lab, and it was super dark inside, no lights on at all, and as I opened the door, about 50 faces turned and looked at me in unison, and they all looked like they were floating in the air, and they were all "glowing" blue from the computer screens. They were all sickly pale, and most of them wore big glasses, and had unkempt hair. I stood there for like 5 seconds then I backed out and shut the door.
