that's why it's good to take really specific notes...if you have voluminous notes and you tie each note entry together with two or three sentences, voila! you've got a couple of thousand words.

i wish it was that sort of paper though. if it were just regurgitating class material i'd be done by now. but i have to write a new york review of books style review essay that engages social theory. so much analysis and shit

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
i'm oscillating horribly between feeling relatively functional and all right and being utterly miserable. i'm terribly lonely...after living with Kim for ten years and having her there almost every single day, it's really difficult to get accustomed to being alone, especially in the semi-rural setting where it's not easy to talk to people without going to town.
and i guess i got overly attached to the notion that my ex-wife was going to call me after i e-mailed her asking for networking help. i hadn't communicated with her in over fifteen years, but she really was the love of my life, and i've never gotten over her. but i didn't hear from her, and probably never will.
i don't understand why people like me are even wired to fall in love, or to need love, when it always ends in tears, recriminations, and regret. sometimes i wish i'd never had the brief happy times, the two or three good years one has in a relationship before the rot sets in, because i miss them too much. i would kill people to have those years with my second wife back, unhesitatingly and without remorse.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
PAPER SAGA PART TOO MANY PARTS: i stayed in last night to do my paper. ended up writing only like 1/3 of it and doing ALL OF MY OTHER HOMEWORK. ALL OF IT. I EVEN STARTED A PAPER FOR ANOTHER CLASS THAT'S NOT DUE FOR LIKE A WEEK. I CLEANED THE ROOM. WASHED ALL MY DISHES. SORTED MY LAUNDRY. REORGANIZED. SENT LONG EMAILS TO MY ACADEMIC ADVISER ABOUT LIKE GEOMAGNETIC STORMS AND STUFF.
I'VE BLASTED OFF THIS PLANET TO A NEW STAGE OF PROCRASTINATION. i'm going to hole up in the library now. all day if i have to.
