If i want to run the dual amp setup i had nick install a preamp out so i can daisy chain into the model t's power amp (the model t has 1/4 inputs on the back built just for this). So if i play a huge festival or something where i can crank into oblivion i will be running the massive wall of 6x12, 4x12, 2x12 and 3x15 powered by the dunwich and the model t.

The speakers are Weber Michigan's rated at 100watts per, making it a 300w cab and the 6x12 is 390. I wanted plenty of headroom so i could crank the Dunwich and not blow the cabs.

WOW!

This thread is boner city.

Anyone mixing webers in the same cab? Like a 65+silver or something like that.

Oh and btw the head nick is building me is a 4xkt88 200 watt single channel head, non-mv, depth, baxandall tone stack, presence, resonance and phase inverter mode control (its gonna be running a special dual tube phase inverter). It's going to be setup to be completely clean even when the gain is cranked, according to nick with his design i will have power tube breakup before i hear any preamp breakup allowing me to stay completely clean even when cranked to 10. Basically... the ultimate built for pedals head

Yep, that sounds badass, excited to see/hear it, should be a MONSTER! :animal:

I'm going with a Metro powered by 2xKT88, tweaked a bit from the KT66 50W Mark ordered, some things I requested and some Nick suggested such as the dual phase inverter and concentric volume pot to match channel volume when switching. Shit should be KILLER when all's said and done!

I'm pretty sure Nick from Dunwich (new05002 here at ILF) just ordered a 4x12 in "burst" with a mix of speakers, can't recall the details though. He'll probably show up in this thread sooner or later.

Dude that sounds wicked! I figured a dual channel amp was redundant, i've always grown tired of amp's distortion since your only limited to one sound. I figured having a single completely clean channel amp allows my tone to be whatever i put in front of it, that way if i want to change my dirt tone i don't have to buy a new amp just a new pedal which is considerably cheaper. Versatility is key.

I'm sure he will pitch in soon. Last i talked to him he wanted to order 2 matching cabs each with different speakers. I guess he decided to downsize to 1 cab with mixed speakers. Which for an apartment is alot better.

I hear you, don't rely much on amp dirt myself. My goal is one channel that's super clean for the pedals and another with just some dirt/grit for my "clean(ish)" or low gain parts, also good with the pedals. It has the capability to blend the two which should be cool.

I think he was talking about adding on a 2x15 in the near future as well so his apartment complex shall be punished. Or he'll be evicted.

Ohhh yeah i remember him telling me that now, he told me that when i told him that my recent emperor purchase started off with getting a qoute on a 2x15 and then 2 days later i sold my supra and changed my order to the 6x12 and 3x15... If he has a 4x12 and a 2x15 in an apartment he's sure to get evicted  especially powered by one of his heads.

4 x 12 burst to dark walnut, Salt and Pepper cabs ordered already, with my logo routed as well

2 Weber 65s and 2 Weber Axis 12"s The Axis are Fane clones, speakers that Hiwatt uses which I played one day through an original Hiwatt cab. Fuckin nice.

After that a 2x15 with Weber Michigans. Luckily I live in a college apartment area and they have not called the cops yet even though i routinely blast 100+W heads with pedals and the wizard and what not

Frikkin sweet dude! Fane's are some wicked speakers, interested to hear the weber take on em, as far as the michigan 15's i will let you know how they sound hopefully next week. Ah college apartments, where if you don't call on them they won't call on you....

if they dont fit well with the 65s i might change them but i dug them when i played some originals. We will see if Weber's ceramic Fane clones are good. They are high power rated (100Ws) so they should not give out as much as the 65s will under a huge load.

Awesome, I also look forward to hear what you think of those.

I wrote to the nice folks at Weber giving them the whole run down of what I want/play etc...we'll see what they say.

Just heard back from a nice fellow at Weber, he seemed to be an emperor fan.

He recommended a 65+silver bell to keep the lows strong yet tight and smooth out the highs.
That was my original idea when I started this thread
