When the CC is engaged and with all switches set to 0 and using either the BAT Pharaoh/FH Phantom Ring the CC rate knob taps out a beat in tempo audibly through an amp running at bedroom levels. If I speed up the rate, the beat increases. This sound can be heard with volume rolled back on the guitar and also with volume up and nothing being played - constant low-fi tapping. Depth does not affect it.
Is this normal? It is in my FX loop (Bogner Duende FX loop - tube) first in chain.

Yeah that's classic analog oscillator bleed-through... I go to great lengths to bury that thumping way down in the signal level but sometimes it crops up.
3 knobber or 5 knobber? No battery use, right? Does it do it when you just run it into your amp or only in your fx loop?

Hey Ryan
5 knobber indeed and no battery used. When run before amp out of the FX it still makes the noise. Just wanted to check I wasn't hearing things. With my FETTO Custom you can't hear it at all. Does it react differently to the signal/noise that gets sent?

Yeah that's the weird thing isn't it, that you don't hear with the one pedal but you do the other.. the CC doesn't get along with certain styles of fuzz pedals. It's a combination of how I did the mix control on the output and how certain fuzzes aren't buffered at the input, it makes for a mis-match that can make for weird tone or bring out weird noises.
The CC isn't being daisy chained or anything, is it? Whatcha powering it with? That can be a factor in thumping too...

Hey Ryan cheers for the explanation and yes, it is daisy chained at the moment on a 1-spot. Isolation would be more favourable on the board for CC?

Re: Cosmicchorus Rate Interference Problem?
Well, that's definitely something to try, not daisy chaining it.. daisy chaining can be a problem with any pedals that have timing signals, digital or analog, and also some pedals just don't share current nicely. If you can try it with a nice isolated supply that would be great but keep in mind if it's not regulated and filtered, like a nice one intended for guitar effects, then you might have hum/noise.
