Ping Pong is the sport of men. Pool is ok. Darts is for wussies.

Seriously, get my hands on a paddle and I'll make you my bitch. (Innuendo WAY intended)

Also 7-0 baby! Two titles in a row, calling it now. This is Mr. Rogers' neighborhood!

Ping Pong Awesome. Now if only I could afford to buy and possibly get a 22 foot long Table Suffleboard down that basement.

Really enjoying playing bass right now. Starting to get optimistic about the band I may be joining as a bassist.

It's about 97 steps up from the other bass I was using. :)

From my post in the let's hear your music thread (uses the Viper):

Just some ideas on bass. Recorded through an ipod so it sounds awful - also it was almost midnight so I had to play really quiet. Uses a Devi Ever Electric Brown and a Dwarfcraft Hair of the Dog.

nice! the first part has a cool kind of Mingus/Haden jazz feeling, and the fuzzy part makes me say "yeah, you don't jam. right."

at one time or another i've played, at least in a jamming capacity, in every spot in a rock band--guitar/bass/keys/drums--and i always say that bass is the most powerful position in a band, because what you play and where you put the notes totally determines the feel of the group. imagine how different, and how much more boring, the music of the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Can, Husker Du, Joy Division, or U2 would have been with a conventional bass player. or how poorly an unconventional player would have worked in the Rolling Stones, Crazy Horse, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, or Oasis. the bassist can reinforce or contradict the drummer, double or play counterpoint to the guitars, play the tonic or harmonize, and can totally control the texture. plus, playing bass is fun. it feels good all over your body when you hit those big low notes, doesn't it?
