aww yeah turned 21 since i last posted
and yuengling is now available in ohio. i predict it becomes the next hipster beer.
first legal stateside beer was a guinness in a legendary dive-y jazz bar watching some old white dudes play blues that actually kicked ass.
knocked off Orval and Achel off of my trappist to-have list, leaving one that i can only find in pint bottles, and that one that you can only get if you go to the monestary or buy online for like $50 a bottle.
also He-Brew's Lenny's Bittersweet R.I.P.A in honor of Lenny Bruce. a thick, not very heady rye double IPA that goes down REAL smooth and sweet with a very dry and bitter aftertaste that lingers. packs a whollop at 10% but you don't taste the alcohol.

Re: THE BEER THREAD(?)----->!!!
La Fin Du Monde IS incredible......especially all that unfiltered goodness at the bottom of the bottle. That company's other beers are good too if you're a fan of The End Of The World....

Hit the Flying Saucer just down the road tonight. Tried 3 or 4 different beers of my own, mostly Texas brewed, plus sampled pretty much what everyone else was drinking. Definitely had a blast.

Nice....didn't know there was another Flying Saucer other than the one in Raleigh. They've got like 400 beers on tap and something like 600 bottles. Always easy to try something unique there.
