Good, because V-necks are the worst.

I had a short time with them, but now they are just "wear around the house" shirts.

OK for an assignment I need a slang term(must be college appropriate) that I use fairly often to describe.

i totally avoid teh v-necks. the world doesn't need to see that much furry cleavage. Folsom Street doesn't even need that.

So I might be starting to play with this rock band as a bassist, and I'm kind of dreading it. Because when I was talking to the guitarist, he said "We'll get together and jam."

I don't jam. I surround myself with carefully written and annotated charts, tablature, and sheet music. Then I play.

I just don't see jamming as fun or productive.

This is what every jam ever goes like:

[Playing for a bit]
Person 1: Oh hey that was cool, what did you just play? We should use that.
Person 2: I don't know... Was it like this?
Person 1: No. You don't remember? It was like 5 seconds ago...
Person 2: What this?
Person 1: ........
Person 2: This?
Person 1: ........ Are you fucking with me? First you didn't bring a tuner, then you had to borrow one of my picks and a cable. You didn't even have your amp on when we first started playing!
Person 2: Dude chill. It's no big deal. What do you want to do?
Person 1: ........

By this time the drummers ADD has kicked in and he's in the other room watching tv.

that's why you should
a.) record your jams
b.) PLAY... don't fiddle around on your neck like it's your dick or something
c.) only because you're jamming you don't have to turn off your brain... concentrate on playing
d.) always entertain the drummer.. give him a rubiks cube/ some sort of puzzle/ food / random shit
e.) don't play tooooo long! plan in short brakes so you don't have to remember what you played 10 mins ago...
