Personally, I'm looking for all of them...Fuzz + super wet reverb works too.

Definitely down for the "not a clone" model. No offense to people offering clones, but there are plenty of good ones out on the market now.

Modulation: any and all, as long as it can be pushed to bizarre limits (see Cosmichorus & Sea Machine as examples in the realm of chorus). Which is not to say that it shouldn't have a range of "normal" tones, just that it should be easy to get the really odd ones out of it too. Personally, I'd love to see this especially as applied to flange & phasing, since we've got the Sea Machine and Cosmi holding down the chorus end. That said, it does seem that there are plenty of interesting phasers out there (Whetstone, Grand Orbiter, Faye Sing and Subdecay Quasar Deluxe all come to mind), so maybe it's time for a flanger to get its crazy on. I have a BF-2 that I had modded to unlock weird pitch-shifty stuff, and it gets pretty cool... just a circuit bend, but it would be awesome to see that sort of function "properly" designed up in a circuit for maximum usability.

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

A fuzzy-flanger in a wah enclosure with an octave up (ring modish style).

A 3? 7? 10? band EQ that feeds into an effect be it delay, chorus, fuzz etc. so that only the frequencies that you want are affected and the rest just pass through true bypass style.
You could also do this as a True Bypass Looper that would split the signal, based on frequency, that went through the loop.

For example:
I think it would be cool to be able to have Chorus on my highs and not my lows or mids or a Phaser that just affected the lows and let the highs come through clean. :idk:

tube screamers, tube screamers and more tube screamers!

but seriously, an analogue delay with good tweakable modulation that doesn't sound like a line 6 with tap tempo
boost pedals
low gain fuzz
So this turned into another devi thread...

I basically want the Empress EQ and the Empress Compressor as "one pedal".

I don't get why there aren't more Compressor/EQ pedals. I'd much rather that than another modulation or whatevs.

I thought the DS Element was going to be up my alley but that's more for people using gain (I'm generalising but meh @ you). I would like a more compressor element added with some form of pre or post tone shaping. I think Barber has something similar but I have yet to try it. Maybe I should seen as though I think it's the only one?

Some of the older units do it; my ancient and now retired Boss ME-6B that I used for the synth bass patches (because they also tracked well on guitar) would let you have high or low-band flanger and analog distortion circuit etc.

This. A thousand times this. One of my favorite sounds ever. I get close to this with some settings on the Circuit Breaker actually.

Don't remind me, that i didn't get one

Have you checked out the HBE Frostbite Flanger? That thing has been on my GAS list for too long. So much :omg:, and
I hated flange, because I couldn't get past that EVH sound in my head, until I watched the PGS demo of the Frostbite.

Description fr. R.G.Keen/Geofex:

Noise addition

Noise (hiss, rumble, etc) is deliberately added to the input signal. If this is done with restraint and matching the input signal envelope, it can add a breathing effect like the hiss of air in a flute. Filtered low frequencies can add a growling quality.

I really liked some of the weirder sounds on the eventide space reverb, but fuck that thing is expensive. Put some crazy ass ambient reverbs in a box for cheap and I'll buy 2 (one to play and one to shove right up my ass).
