Empress Effects Multidrive individual dirt pedals...

Post by modernage »

Got an email from Empress today saying that they are now offering each section of the Multidrive as an individual pedal. Kind of a cool idea if you only like 1 of the circuits from the original. If you like 2 of them, or all 3, it would be cheaper to just buy the Multidrive.

The Multidrive is still on my list of pedals to try out, but it'll be nice to have some Empress pedals out there for under $150 used in the future. They put out some quality snax! :snax:

This is interesting considering they have been doing big box enclosures for a while now.

You think we'll be getting toned down versions of their other pedals too?

Doing this to the Multidrive obviously makes the most sense but a small box Trem or Phaser would sell well...

The multidrive is too awesome to split up.

This is a cool idea, It seems like the oposite of the normal trend to cram a few of your smaller pedals into one "special" pedal.

Not that some of those combo pedals aren't way up my list (hoof reaper!!!)
Just a different way of thinking,

I would love to see the boost section of the para-EQ in a small enclosure.

^ the boost on the ParaEq seems really "transparent" to me. I had one and I'm pretty sure the boost knob crackled a little bit. But I don't think it sounded the same as my SHO.
