yeah, seriously...if they'd played it at that speed in clubs they'd have needed the poppers to revive people.

It's so difficult to not make incredibly negative comments towards this.

I'm convinced that feminist are just the world's greatest trolls.
It's like they're trying to get me to disagree with initiatives I'd agree with by basing them on the most absurd, subjective arguments possible.

Most women that consider themselves feminists aren't actually feminists.

Well feminists don't actually agree with anything including other feminists. It's just one long cyclical, contradictory rant.

What I'm saying is the people you are talking about aren't actually feminists.
Despite living in Boston for the past almost 7 years - which is like "feminism" central - I have only ever met 1 woman I consider a legitimate feminist.

Re: The what ever thread...
i pretty much hate how feminism is such a pejorative term and i can't help but feel like there's a little bit of unnecessary condescension at work in this conversation, HOWEVERRRR i would agree that sometimes feminists get on my fucking nerves. i really hate white privileged fashionably liberal feminists who ignore racial issues when considering women's issues like the two could never overlap. like that 'WOMAN IS THE [EDITED] OF THE WORLD' shit at slutwalk of all places
i know john lennon said it, but seriously. the fucking girl who made/flew that poster said "you are all jumping to side and rally against the black version of “[EDITED]”
we are simply rallying against the human version of “[EDITED]”"
basically, a feminism that operates outside of an anti-racist agenda is a feminism i don't want to be a part of.
i digress (i guess i digressed from my digression?), people very easily lose the forest through the trees. also they often misinterpret sociology extreeemely in their arguments or only write (or dare i say, pander) to similar feminists, which bothers me a lot in some very radical feminist blogs i read from time to time.
going to a liberal arts school, i know a lot about otherwise uninteresting people who make it their job to write and speak as articulately and 'academically' as possible while not saying much. they're compensating for living a life steeped in privilege and not having any actual knowledge of social issues beyond thinking 'wow, it would suck if people discriminated against me for no reason!' and being an art student, i never want to hear everything is subjective again. somewhere, a zombie kant is crying.
so yeah, i don't remember what this was supposed to be about. but most people get on my nerves and feminists are absolutely no exception. although i want to always support them because i am very much a feminist and talking shit on other feminists is kind of a dick move and i don't want to contribute to all the unnecessary feminism hate that goes on in our culture.
