Maybe partying will help.

I cant imagine it would sound bad. The unidrive circuit is just a booster correct? I imagine the doomidrive would be cooler cause of the bottom control

Knowing my luck, it sounds awful.

Re: Doomidrive/Unidrive on bass
I have one and use it for both guitar and bass. Can't say enough good things about it, it's my favourite pedal!
Long live the short lived...

Re: Doomidrive/Unidrive on bass
all right, I tried the Doomidrive (along with some other Creepy Fingers pedals) on bass today!
here was the rig-

and here was the board-

impressions-
Doomidrive sounded outstanding. With the "bottom" knob cranked, it sounded plenty fat and at any setting sounded MEAN.
that's what the Doomidrive excels at, imo - it's just a drive/distortion that excels at sounding pissed and fully ready to whip yer ass.
reminded me of Lemmy-era Hawkwind tones (though not nearly as blown-out and trebley as Motorhead stuff.)
Doomidrive stacks really well, too, with everything. With guitar I've stacked it with a Megalith and a Superfuzz with great results.
Fuzz Bud also is a killer bass fuzz. Fuller and with more low end than the Doomidrive, and they stacked great together.
Big sounding. The Fuzz Bud and Doomidrive will probably remain on my bass board, actually.
Fuzz Nugget. Sounds cool, but I still haven't quite found the magic setup for this pedal. Not about to give up, though.
Really, on guitar it sounds cool, but the Fuzz Fight is similar and better, imo. If I didn't have that pedal, this one would see more use, though.
Bassboar, any specific questions beyond this?

Yes, actually, is more overdrive voiced or is it heavier then your typical OD.

Re: Doomidrive/Unidrive on bass
it's definitely an overdrive, but as I said, it's a mean damn overdrive.
If you have the drive all the way up, it definitely starts to distort.
Pushing a dirty amp it moves into the realm of distortion or even fuzz.
It's in the same class as a RAT or a Red Llama in that it depends a lot on your settings,
but with TONS of volume on tap. Not the sustain or grit of a dimed RAT, but more bottom and tougher.
