oh, no, not offended at all...i'm just saying that i had years to provoke me to be that cold and cutting. it's like being in a war and winning an extremely cruel and bitter battle...you may have won, but it's not something you can feel particularly proud of or joyful about as you survey the field. i don't LIKE drilling through the rotten flesh to the heart of the Beast, but it's one of my skills.

and that's part of why i am the way i am. perhaps without that misery hanging over me i can be more the decent person i actually am. can you imagine living with someone who for the last year literally gives you a filthy look every time you light a bowl and makes a waving gesture in front of her face as if she's fanning away a particularly noxious fart? who's totally given up on you and doesn't hesitate to express that? but who STILL occasionally has flashes of the personality you once adored, back when you still each knew who the other was?

oh, yes, i understand that i'm likely better off in the long--or even relatively short--run. it's getting used to being alone that's difficult, and still having to deal with her and her shitty attitude until all her things are gone on the other hand. also, it's really weird because in the past i've always been the person who left the apartment/house with a few boxes of things and my gear; i've never been the one left with the house and the memories, and that makes it different emotionally than anything i've ever experienced in a breakup before. meanwhile i fall asleep and dream that she's walking in the back door and calling "i'm ho-ome" in the happy-coming-home voice she used to use.

sorry...sometimes people take me as being edgy because i tend to be really precise and direct. my tone gets taken wrong. i've had this problem ever since i was a child. i don't know how to act like a normal person.

90% done with a paint job on an enclosure with some sweet graphics and suddenly while I'm putting on a coat of clear I notice a big streak of paint missing on the side. It wasn't there 2 minutes ago. It didn't scrape on anything. I have no idea what happened. It just appeared.

My blofeld showed up on friday with the wrong power cable. It came with a European style cable and I need a US version. The power supply for the blofeld is internal, and can handle 100-250v ac, my suspicion is that I don't need any additional adapter to plug it in, just a cable that has the right connector to plug into the mains and into the blofeld. But I don't dare try that until I hear from either the tech support at blofeld or sweetwater.
