That is pretty cool, a matching set of guitars would be sweet (or lame depending on who you ask)

I always wanted a matching strat and tele

I really want to get my hands on one of those MIK "lite ash" strats. Would match up nicely...

The wood grain on the tele is so sick!

I love it! It's the most expensive guitar I've ever owned, and it was worth it. I buy and sell gear all the time but this one, I don't think I would ever sell it.

now, question is, what color of competition stripes should I put on it? White could look nice against the off-white, but black is always good...

What's not to love with that bass and amp!

Black is the classic choice. What about British racing green?

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....
Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.

I picked it up a used jazz bass earlier this year. To my surprise, my girlfriend took an interest, and has been learning how to play it ever since.

We've been looking to get her a bass of her own, and Monday pushed us over the edge. I've been tuning for her, so she can just have fun and learn and not have to worry about an out of tune instrument. Well, I was busy on Monday, and she had seen me tune it enough that she gave it a shot.

The bass has a 34-inch neck. She is 5 feet tall. She can't reach the tuners.

Her birthday is in a couple of weeks, so we just ordered her one of these: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JagBsVMSSSlv/

When she first started playing a few months back, this bass caught her eye. She likes the shape, the color, and now the idea of a bass she can actually tune. The neck is the same width as the jazz bass she has been playing, so it should be an easy transition for her. I'm just hoping that it has a nice body and neck, and decent pickups. I plan on upgrading the electronics and the nut right away, and the bridge/tuners if they turn out to be crap.

It should be here on Wednesday, and I'll take some pictures of it then.

Wowee, very nice, looks like it screams!!!

Some of the basses I see on ILF, especially those modded to hell and back, are so super impressive. This place is not the home of the boring bass, this much is for sure. :thumb:

I'd go with no competition stripes. :idk:
Shit looks good to go, imo.
