Yeah thats a good idea, there is there matter of flipping it if you want to upgrade it, but that goes all gear so go for it. And yeah I was just trying to be a douche haha

yeah well that didn't work out, huh? :p

it can be fun though ;) and i could get some mad ILF cred  so i think i might go the squier strat way and either be disappointed or surprised later... that goes for all gear as well btw

You can get top-loading Tele bridges, like the Willkinson compensated one lets you do either way. Unless you just prefer stringing through the body.

Haha, duh. I've got a 2001 indo-cort Squier Standard Strat loaded body and a Xaviere strat heel neck w/ tuners, a plate and screws left from my stratomaster frankenstein. If you really want to build a Stratojag frankenstein on the cheap and Squier Strats are expensive in the CZ, drop me a PM. Fer @ $75 and shipping, you could finish it up. And get parts away from me!

you could cut a brass plate, set Tele-style ferrules in it, and mount it to the back of the guitar. this would allow you to string through the body.

if i were you......i'd put 2 (or maybe 3) jaguar pickups in it, a glendale or calaham strat assembly with steel block and 3 way compensated telecaster saddles, a jag control plate, cut a pickguard from a guitar fetish blank. throw on a fender style neck.
bam. long scale jagocaster.

this reminds me of my next question... would a strat steel block fit on tele bridge? :idk: i seriously doubt it, but it would really solve my problems, wouldn't it... edit: ah i can see getting top loaded tele bridge ain't a problem :) cool... so the biggest problem might be the neck, but i could still buy the cheap used squier strat that came up around my location...

Grindonomicon - i'll let you know i'm still accepting ideas, trying to think about different strategies.. thanks though :)
