Guys, thanks to everybody who have contributed, th elist is far longer nowadays that I ever dreamed of, must be the internet bringing up even more esoteric and unknown underground groups :thumb:

CHECK THE FUCKING AWESOME LIST BELOW
and remind me what I missed copy pasting this. And if there's something that shouldn't be there. I'm graduating from Oh I DIdn't See That One Sorry so don't be too shy about it when telling me what I missed. I even forgot my own present band Fuzzifer from the list, somehow. Bands ending with an asterisk (*) are still for reason or the other are still to be verified.

Fuzzifer
Cop Shoot Cop
Jonas Hellborg Group
Necromantia
the presidents of the united states of america
Cantata Sangui
Gnu
Morkobot
Bassinvaders
Sing Orpheus
double dagger
death from above 1979
lightning bolt
godheadsilo
horse latitudes
mega church
OM
Mares Of Thrace
KTU
Moss
Bunkur
BOngripper
Diagonah
Added Ned Atomic Dustbin
mquestionmark
Eagle Boston
Flipper
Conan
Freebass
Crotchthrottle
Brilliant
LUshus
No Big Business*
Palehorse
The Bad Plus
Quack Quack
Big Business
Mors
Talbot
Olde Growth -
Akris
Rat Babies
Man is the Bastard
Hail the skull*
Nabo
Bloarzeyd
Of Montreal
DareDiablo*
El Ten Eleven
Zu
Zeus!
Ekeskog
Appa Loosa (2 basses and a drum
Emil the Grails*
Holy Sons*
Castrovalva
Sign-off

Next I'll sort the list to bands with two or more bass guitars, and to those just substituting the regular guitar with a bass guitar or something to the same effect.

Yeah, thanks again guys. For the sake of über down tuningz, KEEP 'EM COMING!

Here's one that I had forgotten about: SadHappy

They have had a guitar player appear on albums once or twice, but they are mostly just bass & drums. This album had sax all over it, too. Kinda jazzy / proggy. A college friend from Seattle (their hometown) hipped me to them back in the day. Dunno if they're still around.

Thanks jrmy, You can always be trusted to come up with something. :thumb:

Guess I should add two Finnish bands that, again, I somehow had forgotten to list:
Kaaos In Eccentris (two basses, three computers - experimental group in which I played)
Electric Void Summoner (two basses, drums >> doom).

'hail the skull' is a reference to Man Is the Bastard's logo, not a band. And Emil is the drummer from Om, who is also in Holy Sons and Grails :)

Lessee - there's LA's currently on-hiatus Ninja Academy!

And on a somewhat martial arts-related note, Providence RI's (possibly also on hiatus) Hya Kcha!

And I can't remember if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread, but Nerve is drums, bass & keys:

I know there are some others that are still percolating back there in my brainstem...

My one band is just bass, drums, and vocals. We get booked with christian metal bands because of our name I guess (The Modern Hymn), which is hilarious because we're all fucking heathens. We also suck.

Machine that Flashes
Skultroll

Those immediately came to mind apart from the already mentioned OM.

I just scrolled through this thread and didn't see any mention of some of my "less heavy" faves.

How 'bout these?:
