the worst thing is i don't know what i really HAVE TO do, what i SHOULD do and what i CAN do... that's pretty unclear

and what if i don't read Aristotle's Poetics? WHAT HAPPENS? Probably nothing but.. .really? WHAT?!

i'm just freaking out because i don't know what i can ignore, that's probably my main problem...

oh and why has to be a book about GB history trying to be so artistically written? Thanks, douchebag, you're really helping me out here...

Same thing with my pedagogy book right now, beside the author trying to be Foucault

Gives me hope for the rambling quasi-intellectual trainwreck I turned in last week. Then again, the people in my class were grasping at straws too I'm told. When writing about a book that talks about "postmodern reading styles" and their role in future pedagogy you have some wiggle room. You know, put a disclaimer at the top about some sort of "new scientific dadaism" and just go to town..

Just remember dumb people pass college too it's all about learning your hardest / personal best then bullshiting and writing stuff you think they will like. It doesn't matter if what you are writing is brilliant if a professor doesn't like it or doesn't take the time ti read it properly . Although i feel first year is the hardest as it's when you learn all your stuff that you bullshit from the following 2-3 years although it might be different where you are at.

Like my first year of trying my hardest and having those try hard well read papers shot down with the retarded lecturers while my shitty last minute stressed papers got high marks pissed me off to no end. Like for real i don't think you can guess how someone will grade your paper some cases i wanted to slam that womans face against a wall of thick glass when she said something wasn't in my paper and when i clearly pointed it out , her response was something to the affect of well it doesn't flow and use transition sentences and i was like oh you mean like those "yeah but yeah *I'm not changing your grade you called me out in front of class *..." FUCK i hate people like that she kept bitching about having to grade soo many papers when she had a fairly light load or similar to other lecturers or similar to final year highschool teachers who not only graded fairly but gave feedback that was helpful. I hope that bitch got some painful disease.

Like i got some grades that were wrose than her class but i felt like i deserved/ knew how those people were grading. she gave me my first paper back that was meh a super high mark and the next paper seemed like she marked it down because she didnt want to read it.

So yeah first year or actually any year might give you rage but if you can make it through dont worry.

well that was semi-helpful, so... kinda thanks?  yeah i just need to know how to make things FLOW...

Foucalt? hell nooooooo

this caught my eye - is "grasping at straws" an american version of "clutching at straws"?

It's very likely I got the expression wrong - english is not my first language.

Edit: Seems both are correct; thefreedictionary.com says:

Grasping at straws - also clutching at straws

THIS.

My professor insists on creating her own homework problems for us to work on rather than just using the provided questions from the texts, fucks it allllll up, then ends up e-mailing the class like 44 times in the period of an hour trying to back track and correct her mistakes.

"Oh hey guys, sorry about any confusion caused by my mistakes on the homework. What I meant to say is that handjobs without lube are NOT a long term asset, fatty BEE JAYS are actually capital expenditures, and I'm a dipshit. Thanks, see you in class fags!"

I forgot to mention my professor is the ghost of SpaceRitual.

i know right!

my professor spends the first half of class bitching about the people who don't come to lecture, then the next quarter of class going on about how if i'm not signing an internship with one of the top 5 firms in the country by the time i'm a junior i should just kill myself. then he maybe teaches a little towards the end.

hey guys you know how class is usually at noon? well we're going to have your test at 7pm just for the fuck of it and then i'm going to post the answers to it online as you're finishing up so when you finally get back to your apartment you can see how hard you failed.

at least i know i made the right choice by majoring in NOT ACCOUNTING

I'm failing math, and the teacher doesn't like me. Also my drummer cracked one of my cymbals and then tried to pass it off as if it wasn't his fault.

I waited until the last minute and now the school's student login area thing is down so I can't get the notes I need to study for the test that I will fail tomorrow. I'm pretty good at winging it but I don't think it'll work this time.
Well, this is only the first test, I'll make up for it later :idk:
