Anybody want to do something horrible to a DS-1?

Post by Ilikewater »

I've a MIT ds-1, and I'd like to hear some ideas on some mods to do to it. What things can we do to make this thing sound disgusting. Right now, I just play it with everything maxed, and all the eq knobs on my amp down except for treble.

Let me know your ideas, and we can talk some pricing too. thanks guys!

it really depends on what you want. you say you like treble eh? when you say disgusting do you mean doom? there are more ways to mod a DS-1 than ways to cook tofu. if you want a great sounding distortion or amp sim, you can get just about any sound. you just have to listen to some clips and decide what you want. its possible to build a TS9 in a DS1. they are similar circuits. you have so many options its hard for me to just pick one and give you a price.

that sounds like a good start. and simple enough. grabbed that from wsas3's thread.

Devi posted an input-sensitive tremolo mod for the DS1 at somepoint in the last decade on HC.

Eatyourguitar is going to fuck it up nice for me. Will post a video when it's done and in my hands.
