Tremolessence stereo setup

Post by colin »

I'm going to be ordering a birthday Trem from Ryan in a few days and I'll be using it in a stereo setup. If I understand it correctly, the Trem has single input and output jacks, so I'll need stereo cables, correct? Anyone have recommendations on which stereo cables I should get and where to buy them from? I'll need one short cable from the outputs of my El Capistan into the Trem and one longer one into my two amps.

I use a y spliter so I can plug any length of chord into the tremolessence. got these near the dj stuff at guitar center. they should be pretty easy to find. even at radioshack. 1/4" stereo to two mono 1/4"

Awesome, didn't even think of using y splitters. Thanks a lot.

Right on, Colin, thanks! You'll have a choice of a new Trem finish if you want, brown and creams, I don't have one built yet but the boxes look really sweet. (if you're into those kind of colours.. we have the neon greenies still too)

I use cables that are TRS on one end and then they split into two mono 1/4" ends. Got them on eBay for cheap but they work fine and I'm not much of a cable snob I guess. Like this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hosa-Effects-Ins ... 20b0c834fe (I gotta learn how to do links here)

Great, I've bought some cables on ebay in preparation!

Ryan, I'm very intrigued by the sounds of this new Trem finish. Any photos of it?

Not yet Colin, sorry! I'm going to be making Elements for two days then Trems for two days and I'll whip up some new ones and put up a pic. It's like the classic cream and brown Trem on Flickr, those colours, cool old finish.

I got the same exact y-cable at guitar center. The question is, what happens when you have 2 or more pedals like that?

Then you can just use a normal TRS cable (with a TRS jack on each end), if I'm understanding you right, and the left signal will be on the tip and the right signal on the ring.
