Anyone in the orange county area wanna start a band?
Orange County, CA that is.
I really want to start a new band. I wanna play some kinda psychedelic, groovy rock but I'm pretty open for whatever.
I play guitar and bass (mainly guitar, I don't own a bass), looking for a drummer that plays tasty beats, bassist, and maybe keys/guitar?
I might even be down to just join someone's existing band if you're looking for someone.
I'm pretty eager to get somethin going. If you're interested, hit me up and we can talk about music and shit and hopefully get something started. If anything I'm always down for a jam sesh to just test the waters.
Hopefully this is posted in the right section. I just figured I might be able to find some cool musicians to start a band with here on ILF.

I was drivin through Bakersfield a few weeks ago. That place is far away! Thanks man
Fred there's no way I could survive in Chicago. I've lived in southern California my whole life I'd freeze to death there. Thanks though haha yeah I've been scopin out craigslist too

Lame bro, its quite enjoyable once you get used to it, not gonna lie. I miss the harsh weather, is that weird?
I have had shitty luck with craigslist in chicago, i finally found a drummer who didn't want to play metal, and it turns out the guy was 42
When I told him I was 19, and I didn't think it would work out, he asked if I still wanted to at least try jamming

no offense, i know we have some older members here and I am sure y'all are cool, but for some reason, going over to some 42 year old's house just kinda creeps me out. And I don't think we would mesh too well.
And I'm moving back to Chicago after this semester so I'm just gonna do acoustic shit

You won't know until you try.
Worst that can happen is a rape/homicide where you'd end up as a SVU episode. Best thing that can happen is you find a click with a dude and make a bunch of awesome music all semester.

I played in a band with a 27 year old dude when I was like 17
It worked fine and it wasn't awkward or anything. He paid most of the rent for our lockout studio so that was cool haha. 42 is pretty old though.
